Junior Maintenance Technician (Roseville, CA)

We're dedicated to bringing passion and customer focus to the business through our commitment to our employees. The Plant Mechanic reports directly to the Plant Maintenance Manager and is responsible for maintaining and repairing plant equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose or troubleshoot mechanical problems using charts, technical manuals and expertise.
• Perform repairs and maintenance on recycling equipment and C&D equipment to maximize safe and productive operations.
• Replace conveyor belts, electrical motors, hydraulic cylinders and other mechanical parts.
• Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory levels; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
• Use hand tools, power tools and electrical tools.
• Fabricate repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
• Able to cut with torch and weld.
• May repair and install plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems.
• Follows all safety policies and procedures.
• Able to work on heights using Aerial Working Platform (boom lift, scissor lifts etc.).
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• At least 3-5 years of industrial experience, training, or a combination.
• Strong background on hydraulic and pneumatic system troubleshooting and repair.
• PLC troubleshooting and problem-solving ability with practical, mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient with OXY/Acet torch.
• Proficient in all welding processes.
• Prior experience working with conveyors.
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• CMMs software experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Mechanical or trade school certificate.

Qualifications

• Must be willing to work any shift & some weekends.

Skills

• Strong mechanical and electrical skills.
• Ability to work independently and follow safety protocols.
• Experience with Aerial Working Platforms.
• Knowledge of CMMS software (preferred).

$30- $35/hr

Schedule

Various shifts including weekends.
