Junior Loan Processor - Remote

About the role

The Junior Loan Processor aka Loan Assistant at Knock supports the customer journey from application to funding, providing an overview of Knock's products and programs, and assisting with closing the deal. This role involves managing a pipeline of 50-60 loan closings per month, ensuring compliance with Patriot Act, and handling loan documentation and disclosures.

Responsibilities

• Aid in the submission of loan files for processing/underwriting
• Obtain Initial Closing Disclosure signatures to facilitate timely closings
• Manage loan pipelines efficiently
• Ensure all required submission requirements and documents are met
• Provide assistance with customer requests and queries
• Adhere to TRID guidelines for issuing initial disclosures and revised Loan Estimates
• Offer excellent customer service and communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
• Work autonomously and take initiative to complete tasks independently
• Support the team by completing ad-hoc projects and offering assistance where needed

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in mortgage operations and/or processing
• Experience using Encompass, Blend, and/or Google Suite
• Comfortable with change and working in a fast-paced, startup environment
• Team player and strong communicator (written and verbal)
• Self-starter with a quick learning curve
• Remote-first flexibility with experience working in a distributed, national team

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Physical requirements: set up and operate a computer, communicate accurately via telephone or internet
