About the Role
Westinghouse is recruiting Junior Health Physics Technicians to work at different Nuclear Power Plants within the United States. Provide Radiation Protection coverage and oversight for power-plant activities. In addition to providing job coverage, certain routine tasks may be assigned determined by individual certifications, qualifications, and skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide Radiation Protection coverage and oversight as required for power-plant activities.
- Perform or help perform the following types of tasks:
- Radiation and contamination surveys
- Material and equipment surveys
- Material escort
- Help with ALARA planning
- Help with decontamination activities
- Support of Site Emergency Plan
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Workers must train following applicable local, state, and federal OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations.
- Satisfy all requirements required to obtain a Level II Nuclear Access Badge
- Meet all applicable requirements to maintain unescorted access
Pay
The hourly pay range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications, and skills, is estimated to be $17 to $29 per hour.
