About the role
Westinghouse is recruiting Junior Health Physics Technicians to work at different Nuclear Power Plants within the United States. Provide Radiation Protection coverage and oversight for power-plant activates. In addition to providing job coverage, certain routine tasks may be assigned determined by individual certifications, qualifications, and skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide Radiation Protection coverage and oversight as required for power-plant activates.
- In addition to providing job coverage, certain routine tasks may be assigned determined by individual certifications, qualifications, and skills.
- Types of tasks Jr RP Technicians may be assigned to perform or help perform include the following:
- radiation and contamination surveys
- material and equipment surveys
- material escort
- Help with ALARA planning
- Help with decontamination activities
- support of Site Emergency Plan
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Train following applicable local, state, and federal OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations.
- Satisfy all requirements required to obtain a Level II Nuclear Access Badge
- Maintain unescorted access by meeting all applicable requirements.
Pay
The hourly pay range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $17 to $29 per hour.
