About the Role
M2 Strategy is seeking a highly motivated Junior FOIA Analyst to join our firm and support our government clients, commercial clients, and leadership. Our projects are high-profile, fast-paced, and complex and provide a great opportunity to work on challenging engagements.
Responsibilities
- Support FOIA, records management, legal/document review, information management, or related administrative and compliance functions
- Review, track, and coordinate requests or case-related activities to ensure deadlines, documentation requirements, and established procedures are met
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to gather information, clarify requirements, track actions, and communicate status updates
- Prepare or support professional correspondence, memoranda, status reports, tracking documentation, and other formal deliverables
- Use databases, document management systems, case management tools, or similar technology to organize, track, review, and maintain records and documentation
- Learn and support FOIA and eDiscovery platforms such as FOIAXpress, Veritas Clearwell eDiscovery, or similar document review and processing systems
- Work collaboratively with government personnel, legal counsel, program staff, and other stakeholders and provide procedural guidance when needed
Required Qualifications
- B.A. or B.S. degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
- Must have experience in Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and records management processes
- Superb oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel, Google Suite)
- Experience with multi-tasking in a fast-paced and fast-growing company
- Ability to think strategically, analytically, and proactively about diverse business solutions
- U.S. Citizenship required (role supports Federal Government clients)
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Veritas Clearwell eDiscovery is highly preferred
- Direct experience with FOIAXpress, Veritas Clearwell eDiscovery, or similar document review and processing systems is preferred
- Familiarity with the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and records management processes, preferably within a federal government or government contracting environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent requests, priorities, and time-sensitive deliverables
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a deadline-driven environment, demonstrating sound judgment, professionalism, responsiveness, and the ability to handle potentially sensitive information appropriately
