About the role

We are seeking an experienced E-I Technician / Process Operator to join our offshore operations team. In this dual-function role you will maintain electrical, instrumentation, and control systems on our production platforms and also monitor and adjust process parameters to ensure safe, efficient hydrocarbon processing.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on offshore electrical, instrumentation, and control equipment (PLCs, DCS, ESD systems, motors, switchgear, UPS, fire & gas detectors, etc.).
• Troubleshoot faults, calibrate instruments, and replace defective components in hazardous-area environments.
• Monitor process variables (pressure, temperature, flow, level) via the DCS and make real-time adjustments to maintain product specifications and throughput.
• Execute start-up, shutdown, and emergency procedures in accordance with HSE and company standards.
• Complete permits-to-work, isolation certificates, and maintenance logs; ensure compliance with PTW and LOTO protocols.
• Participate in HAZOP, HAZID, and safety drills; report near-misses and incidents via the company reporting system.
• Support well interventions, pigging operations, and routine production tests.
• Assist with minor mechanical repairs, valve changes, and pipeline inspections as required.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as an E-I Technician or Process Operator in upstream oil & gas, preferably offshore.
• Valid OPITO-approved BOSIET/HUET/FOET certification (or equivalent).
• Familiarity with ATEX/IECEx hazardous-area regulations and intrinsic-safety principles.
• Hands-on experience with Emerson DeltaV, Honeywell Experion, or similar DCS platforms.
• Competence in reading P&IDs, electrical schematics, and loop diagrams.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to work in confined spaces.
• Fluent spoken and written English; French is an asset.
• Willingness to work 28/28 rotation offshore (day shifts).
