Junior Financial Analyst - Funds Management
Reporting to the Assistant Vice President, this role provides assistance and support with analyzing and underwriting new LIHTC investments. The ideal candidate demonstrates strength in quantitative analysis and financial modeling, with a focus on detail, and possesses an analytical orientation and initiative to work reliably in a fast-paced environment. This position primarily collaborates with the Funds Management and Origination team and will have opportunities to work with other internal teams, including investor relations, project management, tax, accounting, and asset management.
Responsibilities
- Develops and maintains financial models to support the investment analysis of various new investment opportunities.
- Supports Originators in preparing application letters and early placement emails.
- Updates financial models for actuals and for any updates in equity timing and lease-up.
- Assists Senior Financial Analysts in deal closing, quarterly reporting model updates, and related tasks.
- Develops and maintains up-to-date knowledge of developments in affordable housing and real estate finance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree with a focus in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
- Internships to one year in the financial industry, preferably in infrastructure, real estate, or affordable housing.
- An aptitude for finance and a basic understanding of the overall capital structuring of real estate acquisitions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling capability.
- Ability to perform financial analysis, including cash flow and cash waterfall modeling, IRR analysis, and capital structure analysis.
- Ability to solve practical problems and analyze a variety of concrete variables where only limited information may exist.
- Ability to analyze and interpret partnership documents, general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and industry guidelines.
- Strong presentation skills and the ability to respond to questions from managers and internal stakeholders.
- Willingness to work extended hours as required.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Detail-oriented, independent thinker who can work as part of a team and demonstrate knowledge of accounting practices and procedures.

Pay
The hiring range for this position is $27.00 - $29.00 per hour, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. This position is also eligible for a performance bonus. Final salaries will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, licenses, certifications, and experience.
