Junior Field Technicians - Philadelphia

About the role

We're seeking Junior Field Technicians to support a major real estate and network relocation project in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This is a great opportunity to gain industry experience with a view to potentially securing a long-term role.

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Network Engineers in the design, planning, integration, migration, and decommissioning of the following layers:
  • Outside Plant & Fibre
  • Inside Plant & Racks, Cabling, etc
  • DWDM
  • SDH
  • IP
  • DCN
  • Critical Infrastructure (Space, Power, Cooling)
• Utilize bespoke inventory systems with a methodical and logical approach to data analysis and manipulation.
• Travel as required for the role.

We are looking for individuals with enthusiasm, motivation, and willingness to learn and take on responsibility.

Requirements

• Degree or MSc qualified in an Engineering Subject.
• Knowledge of telecommunication principles.
• Conversant with Microsoft Office.
• Good communication skills (written and verbal).
• IP principles and Networks experience (desirable).
• Advanced Excel or Access Skills.
• AC/DC Power experience (desirable).
• Practical/hands-on experience with telecommunication equipment (routers, switches, etc).
