About the role

Support preconstruction efforts on commercial interior, hospitality, and life science projects throughout Boston. This role offers hands-on exposure to a variety of projects while providing a clear path for career growth within a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with quantity take-offs, subcontractor bidding, pricing analysis, and proposal preparation.
• Support preconstruction activities on commercial interiors, hospitality, and life science fit-out projects.
• Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and clients throughout the estimating process.
• Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to develop accurate cost estimates.
• Help identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions.
• Participate in bid meetings and contribute to the successful delivery of project pursuits.
• Maintain estimating databases, historical cost information, and bid documentation.
• Support multiple projects ranging from $500K to $10M in value.

Requirements

• 2+ years of estimating experience within the construction industry.
• Experience with commercial interiors projects strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of estimating practices, take-offs, subcontractor scopes, and construction costs.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Comfortable working in a fully office-based environment, five days per week in Downtown Boston.
• Motivated professional looking to grow within a smaller, entrepreneurial organization.
