Junior Estimator/Estimator in Training

About the role

The Estimator will analyze construction documents, develop detailed cost estimates for projects of varying sizes, and represent the company in pre-bid meetings and stakeholder interactions. This position collaborates closely with owners, construction teams, and project managers to ensure accurate and timely project cost predictions.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, review, and interpret engineering contracts, plans, and specifications to develop comprehensive construction estimates for small and large projects.
• Complete estimate take-offs within tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Accurately define project requirements and obtain quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Attend pre-bid meetings to ensure a complete scope of work is captured.
• Assist in determining project resource requirements aligned with company goals.
• Provide liaison support to internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure all submitted estimates are as accurate and complete as possible.
• Provide timely project turnover documentation from Estimating to Project Management.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of experience in estimating.
• Strong understanding of construction documentation and math skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lead teams, organize multiple projects, and solve problems with minimal supervision.
• Technical skills necessary for project engineering.
• Commitment to company values.

Accubid experience is a plus.

Physical Demands

Work Environment

• Primarily office-based with long periods in front of a computer.
