Responsibilities

• Preparing detailed cost estimates for healthcare construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and other related costs.
• Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and architects to understand project requirements and develop accurate cost estimates.
• Reviewing design documents to identify potential cost implications and suggest cost-saving alternatives.
• Participating in bid proposal meetings, providing insight into cost estimates and potential project risks.
• Conducting post-project reviews to evaluate cost accuracy and identify areas for improvement in future estimates.
• Keeping abreast of industry trends and advancements in healthcare construction to ensure estimates are up-to-date and competitive.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in the construction industry, preferably in healthcare construction.
• Demonstrated experience in preparing detailed cost estimates for construction projects.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and labor costs.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex technical documents.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain cost estimates to stakeholders.
• Proficiency in using estimating software and other relevant technological tools.
• A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

$85,000 - $100,000 per year
