Junior Estimator

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Junior Electrical Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing project drawings, performing quantity takeoffs, and assisting in cost estimates. This role demands a keen eye for detail and a proactive attitude towards supporting project bids and collaborating with various teams. This is a long-term career opportunity for someone who is seeking strong training, mentorship and development for a long-term career in estimating.

Responsibilities

• Review project drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and material counts.
• Assist with cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment.
• Support the preparation and submission of competitive project bids.
• Collaborate with estimating, operations, and construction teams.
• Utilize estimating software and internal systems to develop pricing.
• Maintain organized bid documentation and project records.
• Communicate with vendors and subcontractors regarding pricing and scope.
• Participate in company training and development programs.
• Support multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $42.27/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Millstone, NJ. Fully onsite.
