Junior Developer
About the role
The Junior Developer is an entry-level role focused on supporting the design, development, and maintenance of software applications. This position involves foundational knowledge of programming languages and software development methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Aid in developing and maintaining software applications.
- Write, test, and debug code to ensure functionality and reliability.
- Collaborate with senior developers to implement solutions.
- Support the integration of applications with enterprise systems.
- Document development processes and configurations.
- Conduct basic performance testing and optimization.
- Stay updated on emerging programming tools and technologies.
- Provide user support and training for software applications.
- Ensure compliance with organizational IT policies and standards.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to project planning.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- 0–3 years of experience in software development.
- Basic knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C#).
- Familiarity with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, SAFe).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Familiarity with cloud-based development tools is a plus.
Qualifications
- Preferred Certifications include: AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900), GitHub Foundations Certification, PCAP – Certified Associate in Python Programming, or similar.

Benefits
- Salary up to $139,000, depending on qualifications, including relevant certifications, education, years of experience, and demonstrated experience supporting Federal Government programs within the field.
- Candidates with specialized expertise, industry-recognized certifications, and strong Federal contracting experience may be considered at the higher end of the range.
