Junior Delta One and Securities Finance Sales
About the Role
Sell Delta One and Securities Finance products and strategies to hedge funds, asset managers, pension funds, and other types of clients.
Responsibilities
- Cover transactions including:
- Single stock long/short DPS and Swaps (including ADRs, REITs, Convertible Bonds)
- Index & sector swaps/futures/ETFs
- Thematic & custom baskets
- Stock loan short coverage for demand side cash equity prime brokerage clients
- Cash funding and upgrade trades
- Scarce resource optimization trades
- Corporate action optimization
- Outperformance trades
- Transactional day-to-day client coverage, including originating trades, pre-deal checks, booking (if not automated), and following up on client-related enquiries/requests.
- Monitor profitability of trades and clients; propose action plans when appropriate.
- Oversee SC contribution and bookings.
- Serve as a product specialist and entry point for other Sales units to promote Delta One and Securities Finance products and strategies.
- Deliver quality content and data to existing and prospective clients.
- Help pitch and originate new clients and expand business with existing clients.
- Work closely with support departments (Client Support, Operations, Legal, Risk, KYC, Compliance, IT) to assist front-to-back processes.
- Contribute to setting the overall client strategy.
- Provide input to IT infrastructure developments to enhance automation and client experience.
- Work on infrastructure improvements and projects.
- Analyze existing business processes, workflows, data, and information systems to identify areas for improvement, efficiency, and automation.
- Work closely with the IT department and project managers to design system solutions.
Requirements
Technical Skills (to be developed):
- Detailed Delta One and Securities Finance product knowledge.
- In-depth market knowledge, especially in US, Canada, and LATAM, but also European and Asian markets.
- Risk awareness.
- Quick system learning capabilities.
Competencies (to be developed):
- Strong client relationships with relevant clients and ability to monetize them.
- Excellent sales and client interaction, including presentations, meetings, phone calls, and other forms of communication (written and verbal).
- Ability to be creative, find solutions, and thrive in a fast-paced and complex environment.
- Entrepreneurial approach to building new relationships and expanding business.
Technical, Behavioral, and Personal Qualities:
- Native or near-native English language skills.
- Excellent technical capabilities to understand products/strategies and manage hedging/risks.
- Ability to sell Securities Finance products to counterparts and clients.
- Strong professional curiosity about products/processes related to or outside of the desk’s activities.
- Team player mentality.
- Transparent behavior and open communication style.
