(Junior) Data Analyst (m/w/d)
About the role
We are looking for a (Junior) Data Analyst (m/f/d) to join our teams in Mainz or Berlin. The position is available immediately, can be filled full-time or part-time, and is initially limited to two years.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, analyze, and visualize data in the context of media-science questions.
- Create data analyses, particularly in the areas of social media and video research.
- Build interactive dashboards to present complex results in an understandable way.
- Work on exciting data-science projects from the design phase (including prototyping) through development to productive use.
- Assist in the conceptualization and analysis of tracking for our digital products (web and app).
- Advise our Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and clients on topics such as data, visualization, methods, and tools.
- Use AI tools to improve our processes.
Requirements
- Completed degree in Data Science, Media Studies, or a comparable qualification.
- Strong knowledge of and affinity for data, including concepts like metrics, KPIs, or interactions.
- Knowledge of statistical methods, data-driven analytical techniques, and data visualization, ideally with initial practical experience.
- Ability to tackle complex problems and work with a team to develop data-based solutions.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Google Cloud Data Studio, Power BI, Tableau) and SQL queries.
- Ideally, initial experience with programming languages such as Python.
- Ability to present complex issues in an understandable way.
- Enjoy working independently and excellent self-organization skills.
- Proficiency in common MS Office applications.
- Excellent written and spoken German and English skills.
