About the role
CACI is seeking a Junior CNC Machinist with 1 to 3 years of experience. This role requires a minimum Secret clearance.
Responsibilities
- Determine and perform appropriate set up of CNC Vertical machining centers for programs provided by CAM programmers
- Design and build fixtures preferred
- Program G and M codes to build fixtures and edit CAM generated programs
- Select appropriate cutters and tool holders
- Set-up and operate a full range of machine tools
- Maintain dimensional accuracy to specified tolerances
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Read blueprints and mechanical drawings
- Understand Mil-Spec and GD&T specifications
- Follow verbal instructions and sketches
- Perform machine shop math and trigonometry
- Use CAM and Solid modeling CAD experience (a plus)
- Lift and maneuver objects weighing up to 80 lbs.
- Adhere to safety protocols
- Operate a forklift (a plus)
Requirements
- Successful completion of a machinist apprenticeship
- Journeyman CNC Machinist qualification
- Trade School certificate
- High School diploma or equivalent
- DoD Secret Clearance or capability to obtain one
- Knowledge of Shop, Facility and Division Safety Policies and requirements
Qualifications
- Ability to work from verbal instructions and sketches
- Ability to perform machine shop math and trigonometry
- Ability to lift and maneuver objects weighing up to 80 lbs.
- Ability to operate a forklift (a plus)
Skills
- CAM and Solid modeling CAD experience (a plus)
Benefits
Pay Range: Minimum Required Hourly Wage $31.20. Other factors such as geographical location, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications can influence final salary.
Pay
This posting is for a position covered by the Service Contract Labor Standards (SCA). The pay and benefits provided for this position will meet or exceed the minimum required amounts detailed in the wage determination issued by the Department of Labor and made applicable to this position, as incorporated into CACI’s government contract for the work location.
Schedule
Full-time. No travel required.
