CNC Machinist

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate ACME/CNC/Tool & Die equipment to produce quality machined parts as specified by blueprints, layout, and templates.
• Plan sequence of operations applying knowledge of materials.
• Avoids defects in work in process by checking material for correct size and type, using micrometers, calipers, scales, and fixed gauges.
• Move materials in the performance of duties.
• Install and check safety devices as needed for specific jobs.
• Report faulty equipment, defective material and unusual conditions to supervisor.
• Complete required quality checks/documents and production documentation.
• Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or directed, which may require more than the normal shift hours or work week to meet company needs.

Requirements

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Experience following work instructions or reading blueprints.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Prior experience working in a light industrial facility preferred.
