About the role
In this role, you will work alongside experienced engineers and multidisciplinary teams on projects in the mining, industrial, energy, renewable power, and chemical sectors. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer to build technical expertise in both civil infrastructure and structural design, while contributing to projects from concept development through detailed engineering and construction support.
Responsibilities
- Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, design memoranda, and construction documentation
- Aid in the design of civil infrastructure systems including site development, drainage, utility layouts, and access infrastructure
- Support the structural design of: Concrete foundations, steel and reinforced concrete structures, equipment support structures, pipe racks, platforms, and industrial structural systems, building structural components
- Conduct structural analysis and prepare design calculations in accordance with applicable U.S. codes and standards
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, electrical, process, geotechnical, and environmental disciplines
- Prepare quantity take-offs, technical specifications, material requisitions, and construction packages
- Review and coordinate engineering deliverables prepared by designers and drafters
- Participate in project planning, scheduling, cost estimating, and technical coordination
- Support construction activities through site visits, field reviews, and responding to technical queries
- Attend client meetings and contribute to technical discussions
- Contribute to engineering quality, continuous improvement, and best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a structural focus, or Structural Engineering Engineer-in-Training (EIT) designation or eligibility for registration in the applicable U.S. jurisdiction
- 3+ years of relevant experience in civil and/or structural engineering
- Experience in industrial, mining, infrastructure, energy, or related sectors is considered an asset
- Familiarity with structural design codes and engineering standards applicable in North America
- Experience with engineering software such as: AutoCAD / Revit, structural analysis software (SAP2000, ETABS, SAFE, STAAD, or similar), Mathcad or equivalent engineering calculation tools
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Occasional travel to project sites may be required

Pay
