Junior Civil Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design Support: Assist in drafting detailed site development layouts, roadway geometry, and utility plan sets.
• Technical Calculations: Perform basic hydraulic, hydrologic, stormwater management, and grading calculations under supervising mentorship.
• Software Drafting: Utilize AutoCAD and Civil 3D to create accurate, scalable construction documents.
• Land Development: Commercial, residential, or industrial site layouts, grading, and utility connections.
• Field Inspections: Participate in active site visits to monitor construction progress and verify compliance with engineering specifications.
• Regulatory Permitting: Coordinate with local, state, and environmental regulatory agencies to prepare and submit permit applications.
• Project Documentation: Maintain project logs, draft technical reports, and track contractor requests for information (RFIs).

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
• Experience: 0–3 years of professional engineering.
• Licensure: Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification completed or tracked within 6 months.
• Software: Basic proficiency or academic exposure to AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Arc GIS, and Microsoft Office.
• Mobility: Valid driver’s license for local travel to project site inspections.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: $65,000.00 annually, commensurate with experience and EIT status.
