Junior Buyer

We are a broadline distributor with a cash n carry operation delivering quality food, service and custom solutions to foodservice operators and restaurants throughout the New York, New Jersey and Connecticut markets. Our growing company is looking fro a Junior Buyer who is motivated and detail-oriented. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the senior buying team in procurement, vendor coordination, market & price analysis and inventory management. Interaction with the finance, sales and warehouse teams ensuring our operation is running smoothly. Responsibilities Assist in purchasing /sourcing food products to meet demandRequest quotesNegotiate pricingEnter and track purchase ordersTrack deliveries, resolve shipping/invoicing discrepanciesMonitor stock levels in the warehouse to prevent shortagesPrepare purchasing reportsProviding support to the procurement team Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain ManagementHigh school diploma with 2 years of purchasing/sourcing or inventory experienceProficiency in Microsoft Excel and WordAbility to work in a fast-paced food service environmentStrong communication, negotiation, time management and problem-solving skills.
