The Buyer is responsible for the raw material purchasing activities to successfully support our manufacturing operations. What You’ll Accomplish Builds and maintains excellent relationships between the Vendors and Amrize to achieve the mutual goals of sales and profitabilityWork with suppliers to resolve local supply issues, track vendor reliability and performance as well as product/material/service qualityEvaluate supplier performance data and drive improvement at local levelProactively analyze procurement and vendors to identify opportunities to save money and improve quality through consolidation of vendors and leverage of scalePrepare purchase orders and review requisitionsWork with Operations team to plan material deliveries with their production scheduleMaintain and review computerized requisitions of items purchased, costs, delivery, and product performanceTrack and record status of orders, delivery schedules and discrepanciesMonitor shipments to ensure that goods arrive on timeFollow-up on undelivered goodsMaintain product ordering standardsResearch and evaluate suppliersResponsible for maintaining purchasing vendor and material data in MRP systemThe Reconcile pending invoices including price discrepanciesEnsure proper order/transactional execution and follow-up reportingImplement master data processes and ensure the data is accurate What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in finance, business or equivalent experienceTwo years’ working experience in manufacturing setting is preferredAbility to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendorsMust be self-motivated and efficientStrong organizational skills requiredA willingness to learn and a strong memory are a mustComputer experience requiredExcellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skillsGood with Microsoft office is required
