Junior Business Analyst

Piper Companies is seeking a Junior Business Analyst to join a growing organization within the technology and customer solutions industry. The Junior Business Analyst will support key business initiatives by gathering requirements, documenting processes, and partnering with stakeholders on a customer portal project. The Junior Business Analyst role is a remote opportunity (working in EST hours) and is a 12 month contract opportunity with potential to convert permanent or extend. Responsibilities of the Junior Business Analyst: Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and discovery sessions. Create and maintain Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), use cases, functional documentation, and process flows. Facilitate process mapping activities to identify business needs, gaps, and improvement opportunities. Coordinate and support user acceptance testing (UAT), including test case creation, execution, and defect tracking. Develop and maintain end-user documentation, training materials, and business process guides. Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, project teams, and technical resources to ensure successful project delivery. Support customer portal initiatives by gathering requirements, documenting user stories, and ensuring alignment with business objectives. Requirements of the Junior Business Analyst: 2+ years of Business Analyst experience in a professional environment. Demonstrated experience eliciting business requirements and creating comprehensive BRDs. Strong experience with process mapping, use case creation, requirements management, and testing activities. Experience developing user documentation, process documentation, and training materials. Proven ability to work directly with business stakeholders and facilitate requirements gathering sessions. Experience supporting customer portal implementations or enhancements is highly preferred. Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills. Experience with Agile methodologies and requirements management tools is a plus.
