Junior Backend Software Developer

About the role

Visionist is seeking a Junior Backend Software Developer for a fully funded opportunity on a prime contract. The role is located in Columbia, MD.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java-based microservice web applications
• Collaborate closely with technical leads on architectural decisions and product roadmap planning
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex software engineering and design challenges
• Work directly with customers to resolve issues and identify new feature opportunities
• Support testing and deployment of production applications

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
• (Additional 4 years of experience may substitute degree)
• 3 years of experience in software development
• Experience designing, debugging, and troubleshooting Java applications
• Experience developing RESTful web applications and services
• Experience with Spring Boot
• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and practices

Qualifications

Pay

Salary range: $115,000 - $160,000
