Job Overview
Responsibilities
- Aids in setting up Community profiles in accounting systems
- Maps and posts Community budgets and prior management beginning balances
- Assists in preparing Balance Sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules
- Prepares journal entries and enters them into the accounting system
- Reviews monthly reports of general ledger accounts for accuracy and corrects errors
- Conducts research on outstanding or unexplained items and assists in explaining variances on Financial Statements
- Reports discrepancies to designated Team members
- Assists in preparing additional financial reports requested by Clients
- Uploads Financial Statement package into system once completed and approved by Senior Accountants
- Sets up small portfolio between 3-8 sites
- Prepares Excel budget worksheets and other reports as needed
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Accounting from an accredited college or its equivalent and one year of experience in Accounting / bank reconciliations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Detail oriented, strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Basic proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office
- Ability to work with sensitive or confidential information
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently and be self-driven
- Critical thinking, problem solving, judgment and decision making abilities
Qualifications
