About the role
The Junior Accountant position at CarePlus NJ Inc. offers an entry-level opportunity within the finance department, focusing on cash reconciliation, cash management, and bank reconciliation. The role also provides exposure to grants, contracts, and fee-for-service operations, along with cross-training in various areas of finance and accounting software.
Responsibilities
- Maintain general ledger by reconciling key accounts including bank accounts, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, prepaid accounts and accrued liabilities.
- Adjusting entries for amortization of prepaid expenses, analyzing accounts payable transactions, preparing fixed asset depreciation and other accrued liabilities.
- Provide financial status information by preparing special reports, completing special projects.
- Review and analysis of contract expenditures. Prepare budgets and periodic reports for contract reimbursement.
- Monitor compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures.
- Review, investigate, and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
- Support other team members as needed including accounts payable, accounts receivable and banking transactions.
- Aid in the preparation for annual audit and tax return filings.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2 years knowledge and experience in bookkeeping/accounting
Qualifications
- A valid driver's license and insurable under Agency's automobile insurance policy

$52-$55k
Schedule
On-site Full-Time, Monday through Friday: 9am-5pm
