Junior Accountant

About the role

Allyn International is a privately held professional services firm established in 1992, providing high-quality, customer‑centric services and solutions for the global marketplace. Core products include transportation management, logistics sourcing, freight forwarding, supply chain consulting, tax management, and trade compliance operational support and consulting. The Junior Accountant supports the Finance team with various financial and accounting functions, including client contracts, accounts receivable and billing, accounts payable, intercompany transactions, reimbursable transactions, financial statements, and general administration tasks. The role works closely with Finance and operations on AR, AP, and financial statements for AISI, AGTA and possibly ATH, completes audits, maintains finance systems (e.g., expense reporting system), provides backup for accounting staff, and handles administrative tasks such as mail distribution, supply tracking and ordering, and office reception. The position is based in Fort Myers, FL, is full‑time exempt entry‑level, with regular business hours Monday‑Friday, and involves sitting, typing, carrying, and climbing stairs.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with maintaining client contracts; cooperating with operations on updating contracts/POs for AISI
• Manage related entries/bookings in the accounting system as well as reconciliations for AISI, AGTA and possibly ATH
• Compiles, analyzes, and presents reports using company’s Human Resource Information System (HRIS), payroll, and accounting and expense reporting systems
• Conducts regular and periodic audit of subaccounts (departmental codes/cost centers used for billing purposes) and other audits if needed for AISI, AGTA and possibly ATH
• Participates in the accounting period close process including reconciliations and posting journal entries
• Assist with maintaining management inputs for AISI
• Timely prepares, processes, files, scans, shreds, and tracks corporate data and documents
• Works on AP and expense reports as needed for AISI, AGTA and possibly ATH
• Manage Allyn fixed assets and depreciation for AGTA and possibly ATH
• Help maintain registrations with clients/vendors, and credit applications for AISI, AGTA and possibly ATH
• Works with multi‑functional and regional teams on resolving business issues
