Once you have your licensure, start your career with MercyOne (18-month retention requirement).

Shift Description

  • Deliver some of the most advanced stroke and neurology care in the region.
  • Work with cutting-edge technology, remote telemetry, and a tight-knit interdisciplinary team that thrives on collaboration and excellence.
  • Partner with MercyOne Ruan Neurology Care, central Iowa’s largest and longest-running comprehensive neurology clinic.
  • Use the newest research, innovative technologies, and active clinical trials to create individualized treatment plans for conditions affecting the brain, spine, and nerves.
  • Collaborate with Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Neurosurgery, and Pediatric Neurology teams for coordinated, world-class care.
  • Receive one-on-one guidance and education from dedicated neuroscience nurse educators.
  • Grow your neurology career in a supportive and innovative environment.

Essential Functions

Candidates in the Jumpstart program is not required to work during stipend period—this is financial support only during the last semester of school.

  • Maintain a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations, Trinity Health’s Organizational Integrity Program, Standards of Conduct, as well as other policies and procedures to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical, and professional behavior.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be in the final semester of school in eligible position.
  • Must pass boards within 6 months of graduation.
  • Must sign the Program Agreement and return before any payments are processed.
  • Candidates must work for at least 18 months post licensure.
