Judicial Assistant

About the role

The Utah County Justice Court seeks a Judicial Assistant to perform entry-level legal clerical duties under close supervision. Duties include conducting routine administrative tasks to expedite court functions.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence
• Manage court calendars and schedules
• Prepare legal documents and binders
• Assist with jury selection and courtroom logistics
• Handle scheduling and appointment coordination
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Three (3) years of general clerical support work experience
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience may also be considered

Qualifications

• Must successfully complete 10 hours of approved coursework annually
• Pass an oath of office per Rule 3-303 of the Utah Code of Judicial Administration
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check

Skills

• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Pay

$20.22 - $23.27 hourly

Schedule

8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday thru Friday
