Omega EMS is a Silicon Valley-based electronics manufacturing services (EMS) provider headquartered in San Jose, California. Responsibilities
- Collaborate cross-functionally with production and purchasing to schedule and prepare jobs to meet the demand of customer request dates.
- Plan future material demand, review ERP system transactions, and monitor inventory levels.
- Schedule usage of production materials to ensure optimal production levels.
- Monitor material supply flow and identify any shortages or bottlenecks in usage.
- Produce shortage reports for accounts.
- Manage ship commits based on customer need dates.
- Help manage and maintain the production schedule, shop floor level loading, and coordination of material acquisition and kitting activities to achieve 100% on-time delivery.
- Maintain material flow, identify bottlenecks, and generate capacity, on-time delivery, and production status reports in support of the management team.
- Create work order (WO) as needed.
- Work with buyers/receiving to expedite critical needs in the supply chain and/or receiving.
- Work with project managers (PMs) for critical jobs.
- Determine material requirements from the production schedule.
- Manage accounts assigned.
- Produce buy lists.
Qualifications and Requirements
- The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience with material planning support in a manufacturing environment, PCBA experience, proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- A high school diploma is required, with a bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
