Jr. Operations Specialist - IRA (Troy, MI)

Responsibilities

• Utilize knowledge and apply it to individual retirement plans (e.g., account contributions, transfers, rollovers, conversions, journals, recharacterization, and distributions).
• Utilize knowledge and apply it as it relates to qualified retirement plans (e.g., contributions, distributions, third-party distributions, loans, and terminating plans).
• Navigate and understand the FINET system relevant to the department.
• Process death claims.
• Participate in ad hoc project work as assigned.

Requirements

• Experience in a corporate environment, ideally within the financial services industry (preferred).
• Knowledge of IRAs/retirement plans (preferred).
• Basic arithmetic skills.
• Able to interface and articulate well with all levels of employees and management in a professional, timely, and friendly manner.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to work independently.
