ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the development and implementation of digital workflows to replace manual manufacturing documentation and paper-based processes
- Support the maintenance and enhancement of manufacturing reports and dashboards to provide accurate and timely production data
- Aid in maintaining manufacturing automation platforms, including system updates and ongoing improvements, under senior developer guidance
- Participate in requirements gathering with Manufacturing stakeholders to learn how to translate operational needs into technical solutions
- Collaborate with IT to support system security, data integrity, and compliance with company standards
- Aid in data integrations between manufacturing systems, databases, and enterprise platforms, including Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL environments
- Assist with the development and maintenance of Python-based scripts and tools used for data extraction, transformation, reporting, and process automation
- Support the development and deployment of agentic AI workflows that support manufacturing decision-making, anomaly detection, and operational intelligence
- Assist in troubleshooting, analysis, and resolution of system issues related to automation, reporting, and data flow
- Create and maintain technical documentation, workflows, and system change records
- Engage in continuous improvement opportunities related to manufacturing automation and data systems
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- A high school diploma or equivalent required
- An associate degree or coursework in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred
- 0–2 years of professional or academic experience in software development, automation, data systems, or a related technical discipline
- Some exposure to a manufacturing or industrial environment is a plus, but not required
- Demonstrated interest in applying technical skills to support manufacturing or operational environments
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Basic understanding of software development concepts, with a willingness to learn and grow in automation and digital systems
- Foundational understanding of data collection, validation, and reporting; hands-on experience or coursework with relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL) is a plus
- Basic familiarity with Python scripting or a strong desire to develop Python proficiency for data processing and automation tasks
- Exposure to or interest in agentic AI concepts, tools, or frameworks is a strong plus
- Basic problem-solving ability with a desire to develop troubleshooting skills in a manufacturing systems environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across Manufacturing, IT, and Quality teams
- Ability to manage assigned tasks and priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail, documentation, and change control practices
- Eagerness to adapt and learn evolving systems, processes, and technologies
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including periodic presence on production floors
- May require standing, walking, and moving between office and manufacturing areas for extended periods
- May require the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to safely navigate industrial environments while following all safety policies and procedures
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- This role operates at the intersection of Manufacturing and IT and requires regular collaboration with production teams, engineers, and technical stakeholders.
- The position may involve time on the production floor and warehouse to understand workflows and support system implementations.
