About the role

Tech Consulting is seeking motivated IT professionals to join our Junior Data Engineer Training & Placement Program. This program is designed for candidates with a strong programming background who are ready to transition into enterprise Data Engineering roles.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable data solutions using Python and SQL
• Work with databases to design, implement, and optimize data pipelines
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Implement object-oriented programming principles in data engineering projects
• Utilize cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) or big data technologies as part of data engineering tasks
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables
• Continuously learn and apply modern Data Engineering practices

Requirements

• 1+ year of professional software development experience
• Regularly use Python and SQL in their current or previous role
• Understand database concepts including queries, schemas, normalization, and data pipelines
• Solid knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) or big data technologies
• Passionate about building scalable data solutions and learning modern Data Engineering practices

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Willingness to relocate to Atlanta, GA for training and relocate anywhere in the U.S. for client assignments

Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Schedule

The training portion of the program is typically 6 months, followed by a placement phase where you will be assigned to client projects.
