Jr. Gauge Inspector (Off-Shift) - Plant 3

About the role

This off-shift Jr. GAUGE INSPECTOR position is located in the Whitehall Casting Operation.

Responsibilities

• Perform receiving inspection on new gauges and fixtures for accuracy and repeatability.
• Correlate gauges and fixtures to customer part designs.
• Perform periodic inspection of gauges and fixtures used by manufacturing.
• Analyze and troubleshoot pneumatic, electronic, and mechanical production gauges.
• Write tool room work orders for gauge repair.
• Work with other layout personnel on cooperative projects.
• Comply with all EHS rules required for the work environment.
• Operate computer and software systems for dimensional gauge inspection.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Two years continuous work history; or 6 months manufacturing experience post high school.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years experience working in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Good mechanical aptitude.
• Effective math skills.
• Effective communication skills and ability to learn and understand complex blueprints and gauges.
• Computer literacy with emphasis on AutoCAD or similar software (a plus).
