About the role

As a Jr. Estimator, you will:

  • Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates for construction projects.
  • Utilize estimating software such as Excel, Agtek, and Bluebeam to create detailed estimates.
  • Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to ensure accurate pricing and scope of work.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and gather necessary data for estimates.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and techniques to provide informed estimates.

Requirements

  • Interest in construction estimating or a related field.
  • Some knowledge of construction processes, materials, and techniques.
  • Ability and openness to learn estimating software such as Agtek Excel and Bluebeam.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail in cost control measures.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, contracts, and specifications effectively.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

Skills

  • Knowledge of construction processes, materials, and techniques.
  • Ability to learn estimating software such as Agtek Excel and Bluebeam.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail in cost control measures.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, contracts, and specifications effectively.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

Pay

  • Salary range: $50,000 - $75,000 annually.

Schedule

  • 8-hour shift.
  • Monday to Friday.
