Estimator

Responsibilities

• Conduct analysis of drawings and specifications to ensure required information is provided
• Create cost estimate by soliciting specific pricing from vendors and/or sub-contractors
• Provide detailed quantity takeoffs and unit prices for review with Senior Chief Estimator and/or Vice President of Preconstruction
• Train and lead Junior Estimators in their growth and learning, including leadership and hands-on experience
• Participate in design-assist project stages
• Maintain accuracy and meet critical deadlines
• Periodically visit jobsites

Required Skills

• 2+ years Electrical Construction Estimation experience
• Ability to read plans/specs for select disciplines
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, BluBeam, Accubid, AutoCAD, PowerPoint; estimating and scheduling software a plus
• Bachelor of Science in Construction Management or Engineering preferred (5+ years’ experience in electrical construction also be considered in lieu of a degree)
