Responsibilities
- Conduct analysis of drawings and specifications to ensure required information is provided
- Create cost estimate by soliciting specific pricing from vendors and/or sub-contractors
- Provide detailed quantity takeoffs and unit prices for review with Senior Chief Estimator and/or Vice President of Preconstruction
- Train and lead Junior Estimators in their growth and learning, including leadership and hands-on experience
- Participate in design-assist project stages
- Maintain accuracy and meet critical deadlines
- Periodically visit jobsites

- Computer proficient with ability to adapt to new innovations and processes
- Experience in Electrical Construction Industry
- Ability to understand construction documents including drawings, standards, and specifications
- Strong written, communication, and problem-solving skills

- Effective and professional communication skills to clients and within the Preconstruction team
Required Skills
- 2+ years Electrical Construction Estimation experience
- Ability to read plans/specs for select disciplines
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, BluBeam, Accubid, AutoCAD, PowerPoint; estimating and scheduling software a plus
- Bachelor of Science in Construction Management or Engineering preferred (5+ years’ experience in electrical construction also be considered in lieu of a degree)
