Key Responsibilities And Duties
- Performs preliminary credit review, assembles and submits information required for loan evaluation, approval, and processing.
- Recommends transactions to Credit Department for approval.
- Prepares and presents proposals and pricing, negotiates final terms directly with company officials based upon credit and real estate factors and ensures the transactions meet CREF’s investment parameters.
- Manages existing relationships as a means to further expand EverBank penetration into the market and to grow pipeline opportunities.
- Supports the active bidding and negotiation with counterparties for the most attractive loan opportunities based upon initial credit assessment and risk/return objectives.
- Supports and directly participates in the drafting, negotiating and execution of proposals/term sheets associated with new loans.
- Develops and utilizes expertise in all CRE asset classes and functional knowledge of property markets in the US.
- Develops understanding of complex business plans and risk mitigation approaches associated with this investment profile.
- Grows understanding how to mitigate credit risk through loan structure and credit enhancement strategies.
- Supports the development and management of the CRE loan origination pipeline.
- Allocates time to directly market EverBank lending products to new, high potential relationships to include brokers, advisors and direct borrower-sponsors.
- Supports team initiatives to strategically market EverBank through conference attendance, CRE events and networking.
- Manages risk to meet EverBank credit policies and risk tolerance.
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate and translate complex financial and market data findings into actionable recommendations.
- Experience utilizing Microsoft Excel and Argus Enterprise to perform financial modeling, cash flow analysis, valuation support, sensitivity analysis, data management, and reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, with the ability to develop clear and impactful presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience preparing investment memoranda, underwriting analyses, credit approval packages, and committee presentation materials in support of commercial real estate lending and investment transactions.
- Able and willing to travel up to 30% of the time.
