Jr Construction Project Manager -Albany Region

About the role

Eagle Rock Properties, a full-service real estate firm headquartered in New York, is seeking a Jr Project Manager to support the Albany Portfolio. This role assists with all vacant apartment capital improvement renovations across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions, ensuring projects adhere to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Corporate Construction Coordinator to complete the 'Rent Managers' scope of work, including User Defined Fields, amenities, and start/expected end dates for assigned units.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of material orders.
• Work alongside the Construction Coordinator to assign appropriate vendors and suppliers for each renovation project.
• Develop a detailed action plan outlining the sequence of tasks and actions required to complete vacancy renovations within projected timelines.
• Monitor renovation progress to ensure adherence to timelines, addressing and resolving any issues that may cause delays.
• Serve as the primary liaison between contractors and Eagle Rock Properties.
• Track and document renovation progress through regular reporting and photographic updates.
• Ensure renovation budgets align with parameters set by Asset Management; identify and implement solutions while securing approvals for any out-of-scope work.
• Actively participate in weekly conference calls with Property Management and other relevant parties to maintain clear communication on progress and expectations.
• Oversee quality control throughout the renovation process.
• Review and approve related invoices in AVID.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of project management experience in a leadership role.
• In-depth general construction knowledge.
• Ability to troubleshoot infrastructure systems.
• Highly organized.
• Knowledge of local vendors preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Bilingual is a plus.
