About the role
Your mission is to support Production and Engineering on in-progress jobs to ensure all items are ordered promptly and delivered to the production floor without delay. You will collaborate with various departments to understand their purchasing needs and ensure the timely delivery of goods and services.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with various departments to understand their purchasing needs and ensure the timely delivery of goods and services.
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency in the procurement process.
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Process purchase orders accurately and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Identify potential suppliers, research products, and compare prices to secure favorable deals.
- Manage multiple tasks, prioritize deadlines, and maintain accurate records.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and other departments.
- Attend weekly meetings and provide status updates on material shortages.
- Identify and resolve problems related to procurement.
- Conduct quarterly meetings with top suppliers to review KPIs.
- Update procurement metrics in SAP.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- In conjunction with OSHA laws and/or requirements, apply the SafeStart safety training process when performing all work to reinforce practical safety training techniques, maintain awareness, and prevent injuries.
- Follow the Atlas Copco “Safety First” policy with the vision of zero work-related accidents.
- Take all necessary actions to implement sustainable processes that safeguard the company’s targets for Quality, Environment, Safety, Health, and Energy/Resource Efficiency.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and/or 5 years of prior experience in a supply chain-related field.
- Eligibility to work in the United States without company assistance.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, well-organized, and self-motivated.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing production peaks and coordinating with multiple departments.
- Familiarity with quality, safety, and environmental standards in a manufacturing setting.
- Prior experience in scheduling production phases and implementing pilot batches.
