Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of monthly government contract invoices.
- Verify posted expense reports for accuracy and policy/contract compliances.
- Monitor A/R aging reports and follow up with customers for collections.
- Contribute to the monthly and fiscal year end closing activities.
- Provide administrative support for billings and accounting accordingly.
- This role works closely with contracts, accounting, project managers, and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely billing and revenue recognition.
Education & Experience Requirements
- Assist with invoicing, including necessary invoicing schedules and back-up data, in Deltek Costpoint for government and commercial customers in compliance with contractual for all contract types (CPFF, FFP and T&M).
- Assist with timely submission of invoices to the Government/Prime contracts via various electronic billing systems in compliance with contract specific submission requirements.
- Review aged receivables reports and work with management to address outstanding receivable invoices.
- Process deposits & enter receipts into the system.
- Assist with reconciliation of unbilled A/R balances.
- Support accounts receivable and other duties as assigned.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as:
• Deltek Costpoint (Preferred), Unanet, SAP, etc.
- Strong Excel skills- Excellent attention to detail, organized, and ability to meet timely deadlines.
- Multi-task ability and ability to work independently and with a team
