Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with financial advisors to prepare personalized financial plans for clients, including investment strategies, insurance analysis, and retirement planning
  • Conduct research on investment products, insurance solutions, estate planning tools, and other financial strategies
  • Create client reports and financial projections using planning software and modeling tools
  • Prepare documentation and reports for client meetings, ensuring accuracy and clarity
  • Maintain compliance with SEC and state insurance regulations
  • Liaise with product providers, custodians, and insurance carriers to gather relevant data
  • Update client information and financial records in CRM and planning systems
  • Track follow-ups and ensure timely plan implementation and documentation

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a paraplanning or financial planning support role
  • Strong understanding of investment and insurance products, financial planning principles, and compliance requirements
  • Proficient in financial planning software (e.g., eMoney, Riskalyze, Morningstar, or similar) and CRM systems
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to obtain your CFP® designation within the first 3 years of your employment
  • Maryland Life & Health Insurance Producer License (REQUIRED)

Preferred Qualifications

  • CFP® designation
  • Experience working in a fee-based or fiduciary financial planning environment
  • Familiarity with Maryland-specific insurance and financial regulations
  • FINRA Series 65 license
