About the role
Reporting directly to the Service Manager, this full-time Journeyman Technician position is responsible for analyzing the root causes of equipment failures and proposing corrective actions. You will perform journeyman duties, regular inspections to identify and correct equipment malfunctions, repairs, and replacements. The position adheres to a 4/10 work schedule.
You will be working in Anchorage, in a heated and air-conditioned warehouse with a great floorplan, conveniently located right off 4th Street behind Wendy's.

Responsibilities
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and estimate repairs on engines, powertrains, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and more.
- Regular travel to field equipment both in town and remote.
- Produce timely and detailed service reports, accurate timekeeping, and expense tracking.
- Competent and thorough use of internal computer systems, including electronic diagnostic tools, parts management, and work order management software.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with over-the-road heavy-duty diesel trucks.
- High school diploma or GED (preferred).
- Journeyman-level technician skills.
- High level of technical troubleshooting ability with experience in aftertreatment, engine, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Able to work 40+ hours per week.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Physical requirements
- Must be able to lift at least 30 pounds on a regular basis.
- Able to stand for long periods of time.
- Bending, lifting, and pushing will also be required.
Safety is a priority. All team members must follow safety policies and standards, complete onboarding safety requirements, and participate in monthly safety training.
