About the role

Eckard Roofing is seeking a highly skilled Journeyman Roofer to join their dedicated team in Truckee. The ideal candidate should have 4+ years of true Journeyman-level roofing experience, be comfortable working at heights, and be adaptable to High Sierra weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Execute high-quality residential and commercial roofing systems tailored for high-altitude conditions.
• Expertly handle complex flashings and intricate details that are critical to keeping mountain homes watertight.
• Step up as a leader on the roof by mentoring apprentices and providing essential support to the job site Foreman.
• Maintain a clean, highly organized, and strictly OSHA-compliant job site at all times.

Requirements

• A valid Driver’s License is strictly required.
• Experience: 4+ years of true Journeyman-level roofing experience.
• Mountain Ready: Comfortable working at heights and adaptable to varying High Sierra weather conditions (sun, wind, and cold).
• Reliability: Strong work ethic, showing up on time, ready to work, and leading by example.

Qualifications

• Licensure: A valid Driver’s License is strictly required.

• Technical Craftsmanship: Expertly handle complex flashings and intricate details.
• Leadership & Mentorship: Step up as a leader on the roof and mentor apprentices.
• Safety & Site Management: Maintain a clean, highly organized, and strictly OSHA-compliant job site.
