Responsibilities
- Assembles, installs, or repairs pipes, fittings, or fixtures of heating, water, or drainage systems, according to specifications or plumbing codes.
- Acts as customer representative during client home interactions and ensures client satisfaction with all work, including cleanup.
- Demonstrates thorough understanding of various plumbing jobs.
- Assembles pipe sections, tubing, fittings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, soldering, brazing, or welding equipment.
- Installs pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, appliances such as dishwashers or water heaters, and fixtures such as sinks or toilets, using hand or power tools.
- Directs helpers engaged in pipe cutting, pre-assembly, or installation of plumbing systems or components.
- Conducts appropriate tests to ensure successful completion of each plumbing job.
- Fills pipes or plumbing fixtures with water or air and observes pressure gauges to detect and locate leaks.
- Performs gas and venting for heating equipment in all plumbing projects.
How success will be measured
- Be driven to exceed weekly and monthly business goals.
- 75%+ conversion rate.
- Efficiency—25% sold hour.
- Ability to keep an accurate stock list.
Requirements
- Massachusetts Journeymen Plumber License (required).
- 5+ years of experience (required).
- 2+ years of experience running your own calls.
- Extensive plumbing and gas knowledge.
- Boiler knowledge—able to troubleshoot.
- Plumbing layout knowledge—understanding of “how it works, how it’s connected.”
- Tech proficiency (tablet).
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently or with a team.
- Ability to pass criminal background check, driving record check, and drug screen.
- OSHA 10 certification is preferred.

Pay
$40–$45 per hour (DOE).
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 7:30 am–4:00 pm with potential for overtime.
