Journeyman Millwright

About the role

Georgia-Pacific is hiring a Journeyman Millwright for their Clatskanie, OR location. Starting pay is $48.45 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned preventative maintenance tasks
• Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on all types of industrial equipment
• Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures
• Keep work area clean before, after, and throughout shift
• Maintain all safety guards on equipment and follow lock out/tag out procedures
• Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and pulling for up to 12 hours a day in a loud/noisy and industrial, high-volume environment

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Journeyman Millwright with experience executing precision maintenance functions
• 4 years of industrial maintenance mechanical experience
• Experience in the Pulp & Paper Industry
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints

Qualifications

• Experience with Reliability/Precision maintenance
• Experience in two of the following trades: Industrial Millwright, Welder, Pipefitter, Machinist, etc
• Experience using a computer to generate, distribute, and maintain maintenance records
• Industrial Mechanical Maintenance Certificate from an accredited vocational/community college with a minimum of 3 years of maintenance mechanic experience
• Completion of an approved maintenance mechanic apprenticeship program or equivalent with 2 or more years of experience as a maintenance mechanic in an industrial manufacturing environment
