Journeyman Machinist

Responsibilities

• Program, operate, and edit CNC mills and lathes to produce precision parts
• Set up machines using detailed setup sheets and tooling lists
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineered drawings, and specifications
• Perform inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other gauging tools
• Debur and finish parts to meet quality standards
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
• Utilize manual machining skills as needed
• Collaborate with team members on troubleshooting and process improvements
• Mentor and support less experienced machinists or apprentices

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of CNC machining experience
• Journeyman papers required
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to read blueprints and use inspection tools proficiently
• Good communication skills and ability to work within a team
• High school diploma or equivalent (technical certifications such as NIMS are a plus)
