Journeyman Ironworker

About the role

Responsible for performing various tasks related to ironwork construction projects. Duties include but are not limited to assembling, installing, and repairing structural steel components.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and install structural steel components according to blueprints and safety guidelines.
• Perform welding and cutting operations using various tools and equipment.
• Inspect work for quality and compliance with industry standards.
• Work collaboratively with other tradespeople to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in ironworking or similar field.
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds and work at heights.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety protocols.
• Proficiency in basic welding techniques and tools.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.

Skills

• Welding certification (AWS D1.1).
• Experience with scaffolding and rigging.
• Good physical fitness and stamina.
