About the role
As a Journeyman Electrician, you'll keep our facility running providing electrical support on our industrial equipment. You'll work in one location, learn from a Master Electrician, and enjoy a steady schedule with no required overtime.
Responsibilities
- Apply knowledge of current electrical codes and industry best practices.
- Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain a variety of electrical equipment such as control panels, switchboards, junction boxes, conduit, equipment control devices, motors and other electrical equipment.
- Test and verify compatibility and safety of circuits, components, switches, controls, and other electrical equipment.
- Use wiring diagrams to diagnose issues and establish safe work procedures.
- Support the Master Electrician and manager with project bids involving outside vendors or contractors.
- Collaborate with Production Operations and Maintenance to improve efficiency and meet company goals.
- Uphold plant safety rules, policies and regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Requirements
- A valid Minnesota Class A Journeyman Electrician License for the entire duration of employment.
- 5+ years of electrical experience.
- 3+ years of experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Graduate of an accredited vocational institution preferred.
- Proven skills working with switchboards, junction boxes, switches, control panels, components, circuit breakers, motors and wiring.
- Experience working with PLCs, switchgears, infrared survey, and high voltage (up to 138kV) is a plus.
- Knowledge of UL Listing/Certification is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, comfortable working with others.
