About the role
Ludvik Electric Co. is a leading electrical contractor based in Lakewood, CO, with satellite offices in Phoenix, AZ, and Salt Lake City, UT. We are committed to hiring experienced Industrial Electrical Journeyman who can perform installations and repairs in a high-quality and safe manner.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment such as control panels, switchboards, junction boxes, and switches.
- Connect and disconnect electric-powered machines.
- Repair motors and generators.
- Replace fuses and set circuit breakers on high- and low-tension circuits.
- Diagnose electrical problems and work from wiring diagrams.
- Work independently and on a team.
- Provide direction to less experienced electricians.
- Afford assistance in evaluating and mentoring apprentices.
- Maintain an 80% production rate with proper tools, materials, and equipment.
- Complete 8 hours of continuing education annually.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of electrical components and electrical safety codes and regulations.
- Proficient professionally, technically, and mechanically.
- Arizona Electrical Journeyman license or equivalent experience with management approval.
- Graduate of an apprenticeship program or completion of 24 hours of continuing education each year.
- Five years experience performing quality electrical installations in commercial or industrial construction.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- OSHA 10-Hour Awareness Training (provided by Ludvik if not obtained).
