Responsibilities
- Supervises a JW and up to 2 to 4 employees
- Follows project blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment
- Ensures every project task is thoroughly specified and planned for smooth execution
- Plans layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures based on job specifications
- Assembles, installs, troubleshoots and tests these components/electrical systems
- Inspects electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards & defects
- Trains junior workers to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
- Provides Apprentices with leadership and guidance
- Demonstrates knowledge and application of Kenny Electric’s JW responsibilities and expectations
- Understands and follows Kenny Electric’s processes and procedures
- Facilitates and attends in-house training sessions
- Performs all other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Current Journeyman or Master Electrician with intent to get a CO license within 6 months of hire
- Six or more years of documented work in electrical construction
- Proven quality electrician installation and mechanical abilities
- Effective time management skills, adaptability to different project sizes and availability for overtime
- Demonstrated working knowledge and application of current NEC codes
Physical Requirements
- Able to work off all types of ladders, lifts and elevated platforms (electric or gas powered)
- Able to work at various heights up to 50 feet from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, cat walks, or other safe work areas
- Able to work in restricted areas, manholes, utility tunnels, crawl spaces and attics
- Able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull, and reach overhead
- Able to carry tools and materials up to 50 pounds from the ground to overhead
- Able to constantly move on feet, climbing ladders and working overhead
- Possess good vision (normal or corrected)
- Able to get to customer job sites
