Journeyman Electrician full-time days (Nampa, ID)

About the role

We are seeking an Electrician to join our team at Saint Alphonsus Medical Center in Nampa, ID. The position involves maintaining and repairing existing electrical equipment, as well as installing new equipment to comply with state and city codes.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and repairs all existing electrical equipment.
• Installs new equipment to meet proper state and city codes.
• Aids in replacing, installing, repairing, and testing electrical circuits, equipment, appliances, and lighting systems.
• Maintains routine records of all inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs performed on any equipment or system.
• Performs preventative maintenance duties on all physical structures of the hospital, complying with all building safety codes.
• Performs urgent corrective, routine, and requisitioned repairs of electrical systems, assisting with mechanical and plumbing systems as required.
• Assists in maintaining electrical wiring and emergency generator systems.
• Inspects and tests equipment/systems.
• Assists in maintaining and repairing HVAC controls and associated equipment to maximize efficiency levels in all environmentally controlled areas; maintains fire alarms and signal systems; performs light manual duties as requested (e.g., moving supplies or furniture, replacing light bulbs, removing trash or scrap material).
• Reads blueprints, interprets instructions, and prepares specifications.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must hold an active Electrical Journeyman's License issued by the State of Idaho's Division of Building Safety.
• Minimum of 5 years of journeyman experience in commercial or industrial repair and installation required.
• Additional journeyman experience working in an industrial environment within a healthcare facility is preferred.
• Electronics diagnostic and repair experience preferred.

Qualifications
